Directions: Off the highway (heading towards BC Ferries) turn left on Beacon Road. Follow that road (which turns into MacDonald Park Rd) until the four way stop. Go straight through the 4 Way stop- and the Training by Tara Studio is directly to your left!

Tara is enthusiastic about helping every person that walks through the studio feel completely comfortable and excited to sweat, grow and improve. She passionately promotes Intuitive Eating, and balanced workouts- for ALL levels. She started the "Training by Tara" brand in her bedroom, and quickly upgraded to bootcamps in the park, to a carport studio, to her beautiful location today. She is a lifelong entrepreneur and loves to help women design their dream lives- whether it's through fitness, breaking free of dieting, or learning about all things manifestation and mindset! She loves to learn, through taking courses, seminars, and reading. On her off days you'll find her reading (probably self-development), hanging out with her dog Charlie (who you don't want to pet) or creating new programs and workouts for her clients; probably with a glass of wine in hand! KRISTA

Personal Trainer

My name is Krista Spencer. I have been in the fitness industry for almost 14 years. I started my career in Victoria and then spent the last 7 years training in Vancouver where my husband and I lived and I had my first child. I’ve had the opportunity to train people from all sorts of fitness backgrounds- everything from teenagers, post-injury rehab clients, beginners who are intimidated by the gym, to advanced athletes. In 2014 I competed in a NPAA fitness competition where I won my pro card and then continued to coach athletes in the same field. Last year my family made the decision to move back to the Island for the birth of our second child, and put down our roots closer to family. I currently live in North Saanich and offer Personal Training, small group training, and circuit classes. I love my job and have always been passionate about fitness as a lifestyle and how it can benefit everyone. I am certified through BCRPA, as well as  ISSA Corrective Exercise Specialist and Sports Nutrition.

Personal Trainer, Group Classes

Taylor C has been with Tara for years doing personal training, and attending all of her classes. Over the past year, fitness has become her passion, whether it be at bootcamp, doing a crazy spin class, or just getting outdoors for a workout! Fitness has transformed Taylor into a better version of herself, and she wants to help you do the same. Taylor is passionate about helping you achieve things you may have never believed you could.

CHELSEA

Pound Instructor

Chelsea started coming to Tara's bootcamps in the park several years ago, and never stopped! Now she is a kick-ass Pound Instructor. You can expect a fantastic and upbeat class with Chelsea who will do everything to ensure you feel 100% welcome and safe while trying out Pound! Come rock out with Chelsea Sunday's at 10:30am, and Monday's at 5pm!
