How intention setting and visualization will help create your dream body!

First of all, intention setting is basically just getting clear on your target outcome. It’s setting that “final goal” of what it is you desire so that you know when you’ve gotten there! For some that may be a goal weight (you guys know I don’t like the scale, but it can work for some people), but I like to have a picture and feeling in my head of how I want to feel and look.
In order to set your intention, I recommend writing it down as a statement in a clear and concise manner. If you want to take it to the next level, put it on your wall and review it with FEELING and EMOTION every morning and every night!
For example: “I am lean and toned and can wear whatever I like. I love showing off my strong arms, and rocking crop tops or sports bras at the gym! I feel fit and healthy in my body and indifferent to food”.

Your subconscious is the one running the show. It’s determining your energy production, breathing rate, metabolic rate, and body composition (ie: fat to muscle ratio).
The best part about this, is your subconscious follows what is being programmed into it. Typically this happens from ages 0-7, which is why we can have some wacky beliefs that we’ve inherited in those 7 years.
If someone told you that you had to be careful because your family had a slow metabolism and you would to- your subconscious would take that on and slow down your metabolism.
If someone told you that exercise was hard and painful and dread inducing- those are the emotions that are coming up when you try to get yourself into the gym. You are utilizing all your willpower to fight against your subconscious mind, which is a losing battle that you will NEVER WIN.
If find yourself binge eating again and again and feeling out of control around food, again these cravings from coming from the subconscious mind and is related to programming. If you were raised to believe weight loss is a struggle and you always gain it back, every time you see a bit of success you are going to feel that uncontrollable pull from the subconscious mind. You'll get tired, you’ll get sick, you’ll hurt yourself doing something you’ve done a thousand times before, you’ll have uncontrollable cravings that you can’t resist. Somehow, someway you’ll end up right back where you started and you’ll continuously think, how did I get here AGAIN?

You can be someone that loves going to the gym and it’s easy to get there.
You can be someone that doesn’t eat emotionally, and in fact it’s not even a question.
You can be someone that is naturally slim and lives in her dream body.
The second key to this is adding in visualization. When we visualize, the subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between reality and what is being visualized. Visualization and getting into a calming state, will allow you to access your alpha and theta brainwaves. Using emotions and images are the KEY to accessing the subconscious mind. When you find a powerful emotion, and are able to bring up a picture of what it is you desire in your mind - you are beginning to rewire your subconscious mind for success.
Basically, you are showing the subconscious mind what you want, and then allowing that 90% of your brain to do the work for you- perhaps increasing energy for workouts, feeling motivated and craving nutritious meals, cutting down cravings, or lowering hunger signals.
AND not to mention you guys have heard me talk about how you can literally BUILD MUSCLE while your visualize, so this has been proven!

Another tip that I would try is using binaural beats while you visualize. These are designed to bring your brainwaves into a specific frequency (ie: delta, theta, alpha etc) that may otherwise take you years and years of meditation practice to achieve. I love putting on an alpha binaural beats track for journaling and visualizing, or recording my affirmations over a binaural soundtrack!

So, try adding in your intention setting and visualization into your dream body work and watch the magic happen! I recommend every morning when you press snooze, and every night as you fall asleep for best results.
