BEGINNERS GUIDE TO INTUITIVE EATING🍦



We go really deep into all aspects of this inside my Manifesting Dream Body Course, but here is a basic breakdown and some tips to get you started!

1.) Honour Your Hunger: It’s very common to eat because it’s mealtime, or because everyone else is. See if you can spend an entire day waiting until you feel hungry- and the eating what you truly crave! You may be pretty surprised at how much less you end up eating when you are paying attention to hunger. Don’t go into hangry mode- just wait for that definite nudge of hunger. Key tip: If you aren’t sure, wait it out.



2.) Eat to Satisfaction: This doesn’t mean eat the tiniest amount just so you aren’t hungry- it means be SATISFIED. That feeling of knowing you’ve had the perfect amount of food, you feel satiated and satisfied- yet not so full you have to go lay on the couch after. I like to think when eating…”Could I move around/walk/jog after this?” And that is a good sign for me on when I’m satisfied.



3.) Don’t make food the most exciting part of your day! This is big! You know when you are doing what you love and you rarely even think about food when you are having the best day? Most of the time we are eating because we are bored, unfulfilled, and procrastinating. Instead of trying to force yourself to eat less, FILL your life with things you LOVE and that will happen naturally!



4.) Eat what you LOVE: Don’t force yourself to eat a salad because you think you should- you’ll just feel unsatisfied and binge on the cookies later. Eat foods that are delicious, and FEEL GOOD too! Think heartier meals like sandwiches, or a big buddha bowl, or packed smoothie bowls. When you feel satisfied you are a happier, more energetic human and won’t end up craving everything you see later in the day.

5.) RADICAL ACCEPTANCE: Please, if you do nothing else- practice radical acceptance for YOU, and what you eat! It's not what you eat that is the problem, it's how you FEEL about what you are eating. It's been proven that the way you perceive food actually causes it to be metabolized different (ie: stored as fat, or used for energy). When we carry all this guilt and shame over what we eat, we aren't doing ourselves any favours! Mindset hack: If you eat something you are noticing guilt over, ask yourself- "What would I think, feel, say if I had just eaten a super healthy clean meal?" see if you can tap into those vibes and this can change your results tremendously just from shifting your energy!
