THINK AND LOSE WEIGHT - IS IT POSSIBLE?

Interested in combining Manifestation + Intuitive Eating for long term results?  Watch my free Manifesting Dream Body Masterclass!

I’m reading a book right now (or should I say furiously taking notes, highlighting and underlining) called Think and Grow Rich. I’m working on a podcast episode for you guys to break down all the steps but I need to finish sorting through all the information.

This book was written by Napoleon Hill, in 1936. It’s one of the original “self-development” books, and it is fascinating to me because of all the similar information and steps that I know have worked for me and many others!

I wanted to take what he writes about and put it into layman's terms for you and apply it to the Manifesting Dream Body - as I celebrate opening the cart for this September Round! I am so excited because I am totally revamping the course with everything I’ve learned since Bali, and doing all the videos LIVE to keep it fresh and relevant! Only 9 spots left and they are filling quickly so don’t hesitate if you are on the fence - if you are feeling called to my podcast, blog, and what I teach, you will be so grateful you did.

Ok so let’s dive into these principles!

Principle 1: Desire “The Starting Point of all Achievement”

The first step in manifesting your dream body (or anything) is to have the desire to do so!

First of all, never feel guilty for your desires- the are placed within you for a reason and higher purpose, and you never know who you could help by going after your dreams! So ditch that guilt. This is important work you are doing.

Napoleon talks about having a desire so strong, it becomes a burning obsession. Not that you need to go absolutely crazy on this- but strong enough that you will not accept any other option. I remember this with the gym, and Bali- two big things I’ve manifested. They were big desires and I was so determined that I wouldn’t stop until I got there. With my Dream body I practiced more acceptance and faith, but I’ve always had a strong desire to feel confident in my skin.

So, check in with yourself. How bad do you want it? The work on our minds take effort. It’s a much different type of effort than the hustle and grind of dieting and the gym- but you must maintain persistence in changing your thoughts and beliefs, and keep pushing through the hard times when you are feeling unsure. There is only one way out- and you will end up at your final destination if you don’t give up.

Principle 2: Faith “Visualizing and Believing in the Attainment of Desires”

I love what Napoleon talks about so much in this chapter on Faith (or, as I would say- BELIEVING). Faith is the head chemist of the mind.

When faith is blended with the vibration of thought, the subconscious mind instantly picks up the vibration.

All thoughts which have been emotionalize (ie: given FEELING) and mixed with faith begin to immediately translate themselves into their physical equivalent. Hello, manifesting 101!

He then goes on to tell us how to develop faith through auto-suggestion (affirmations).

You can see why I love this book so much!

Faith is a state of mind that may be induced or created by affirmation or repeated instructions to the subconscious mind.

Like Abraham Hicks says: A belief if just a thought we keep thinking!

He talks about repeating your affirmation in the morning and evening out loud and places utmost importance on conducting yourself as you would if you were already in possession of the thing which you are demanding - ie: GET IN ALIGNMENT WITH THAT VIBRATION!

He goes onto say that Faith is the eternal elixir that gives life, power, and action to the impulse of thought.

Faith is the basis of all miracles and mysteries that cannot be explained by science.

Faith is the only known antidote to FAILURE.

This rings so true to me, and why I have “become what you believe” tattooed on my arm to see every single day. My beliefs are shaping who I become and what my external reality is. If I didn’t have faith/belief in my dream- I never would have made it this far.

This is the most important element of manifesting, otherwise we give up right before all the miracles unfold. Delusional faith in the universe is what has got me this far!

“Thoughts which are mixed with any feelings or emotions constitute a magnetic force which attracts, from the vibrations of the ether, other similar related thoughts”

A thought magnetized with emotion is the seed that you plant which then grows and multiplies itself until it becomes a huge force to be reckoned with.

So how you apply this to your dream body? Using affirmations, mixed with emotion- to develop that innate faith and belief that this is possible.

Napoleon recommends positive thoughts, stated in writing which are memorized and repeated until they become a fixture of your subconscious mind.

Mine that became true was “I am lean, toned and tiny” and “I eat whatever I want and maintain my weight”.

What do you desire to be true and place all your faith behind?

Principle 3: Autosuggestion “The Medium for Influencing the Subconscious Mind”

A quote: “there are no limitations to the mind except those we acknowledge, both poverty and riches are the offspring of thought”

I would relate that thought to dream body in that both weight gain and weight loss are offspring of thought.

Autosuggestion is the repetition of your positive statement, while also feeling and seeing yourself already in your dream body. By following these instructions, you voluntarily create thought habits favorable to your efforts to transmute desire into its physical equivalent.

IE: You start building habits that will translate into your dream body!!

He goes on to remind us that we must mix emotion or feeling into our words for it to work. If you repeat something a million times without FEELING it- it doesn’t have the same effect.

This can take practice! I am getting better and better with daily meditation and visualization with getting into that feeling and vibration. Don’t worry if you can’t bring up much emotion at first. The more you practice, the more images you find that resonate with you, the more you get your belief around this statement becoming true- the more you’ll be able to bring up feeling and emotion behind it. This is where some of the work comes in with manifesting- and where that burning desire to see it come to fruition must remain strong.

The next part that I love is how he talks about plans coming to fruition, or as I like to call it- nudges.

He says don’t wait until you have a definite plan or “how”. Begin at once to see yourself in your dream body, and the subconscious mind will hand over the plan or plans that you need.

Be on alert for these plans, and when they appear, put them into action immediately.

He goes onto say “they will probably flash into your mind in the form of an inspiration. This inspiration may be considered direct messages from the infinite intelligence”

This resonated with me so much- because literally my Dream Body program came to me as a full on download during a meditation and hit me like THAT! I quickly scribbled it all down and was offering the course within days.

He says don’t try and follow a logical plan- but to follow the inspiration that comes to you.

So- find that positive statement and continuously repeat it day and night with feeling and emotion. Visualize yourself already there. See yourself in your dream body. Carry yourself as if you have already accomplished it- and you will get the flashes of inspiration needed to carry your forward into your dream body. Keep your faith, and have that burning desire towards success that you know there is only one option at the end here. Success.

There are few chapters on planning and organization that relate more to a job hunt than dream body- but the next principle that I loved is:

Imagination: “The Workshop of the Mind” It has been said that we can create anything we imagine. You will receive the plans necessary through imagination. He talks about practicing using our imagination to strengthen it.

With imagination- he says that you must “put your burning desire into writing.”

This is the first of the steps to put your desire into concrete form. This will start the imagination process (or subconscious mind) towards envisioning the steps to your DREAM BODY.

Decision: “The Mastery of Procrastination”

Lack of decision is one of the main causes of failure.

Which is huge to me because I can be fairly indecisive sometimes, and this is something I need to work on!

Procrastination is the opposite of decision.

You must make the decision that you are transitioning into your dream body no matter what- and never allow doubt to creep in. When you make that DECISION it becomes so much easier to follow through with all action. You know what you need to do, and you actually do it, because you are firm in your decision!

Have you decided? Are you firm? Will you do what it takes to see it through the ups and downs and defeat and failure along the way?

This leads us to:

Persistence: “The Sustained Effort to Induce Faith”

This is wildly important. We will never get anywhere without persistence. If we give up at the first signs of hardship, how are we supposed to grow and shift into the people we are meant to become? These struggles come at us for a reason- to teach us where we need to refine our skills or thoughts and then continue going.

You can’t get to where you want to be by continuously doing the same thing you are now. We need to develop new habits in order to become that next level version of ourselves, and that requires persistence.

The lack of persistence will depend entirely on the intensity of ones desire (bringing us back to the first principle).

He talks about how our subconscious mind is always running. Unless we make a concerted effort to direct it towards our dream body - we can just as easily get swept up in failure, planting those seeds of “this doesn’t work” and thereby attracting more and more defeat into our minds.

You need to practice persistence above all. For how long? Until you get there! And then continuously from that point on.

Argue for your vision and where you are headed and be persistent in that regard. Don’t let your brain start convincing you otherwise and allow yourself to give up. Close your mind to ANY negative and discouraging influences- including relatives, family + friends. Do you know how many times I’ve been told my dreams are unrealistic, looked at me like I’m crazy, and been encouraged to just do something else? By my own family too! If I allowed their thoughts to influence me back then- I would probably be an elementary school teacher right now preparing for the school year! I had to shut it all out and look delusional to get here- and I’m only getting started! Luckily I’m used to it now haha.

Have the strong desire- and be persistent in obtaining it.

I hope you enjoyed those principles and how much they apply to manifestation today!
